If you come to Windows 7 from Windows XP (or even if the first Windows PC or laptop) you may not know how the various desktop display options, such as, how to access change the desktop background. You may wish to change the screen resolution, amending or widgets you manage your screen saver – basically there is a wealth of display configuration options for Windows 7, so that you look to your desktop as you want it!
However, this does come with a restriction, these options come at a price, and that cost is of good quality graphics. If your Windows 7 PC or laptop via the gear that you will be able to get the most from this tutorial. How to Change Desktop Background on Windows 7
There is more to changing the desktop background in Windows 7, not only the selection of a favorite image and select it as your new backdrop (though this is an option). Windows 7 comes with several alternative backgrounds, mentioned that appear as a slideshow, and you can even choose your own library of images to play a slideshow.
Start with these options from the search for an empty space on your Windows desktop, right-click and select Personalize from the context menu. There is however another way of setting an image as a desktop background in Windows 7. If you’re just looking for a single, static image with which to decorate your desktop, browse for an image that you like, either online or on your PC (if you are looking for the image online, make sure you open it in its full resolution first – don’t use a thumbnail!)
When you have found the image of choice, right-click it and from the context menu select Set as desktop background.
If the image is stretched out of proportion or looks grainy, you can repeat the action with a larger image, or use the Picture position options to choose between Fill, Fit, Stretch, Tile, or Center – these options are on the Desktop Background screen.
